Oh am I in a mood tonight!

Unfortunately I can not say that it is a fabulous one. DA just (and I mean JUST, cause I have been on here every day for the past week) posted this article about the American Idol of Art. Basically Bravo is hosting a TV show like Project runway but using graphic artists instead. Auditions are 3 hours away from where I am currently located THIS WEEKEND!!! and I can't make it, mostly cause I can't throw together a portfolio in that period of time. Sadness. I'm not sure that is necessarily the way I want to become famous, but it would certainly be the easiest. Oh well. At least now I have some inspiration to have a portfolio ready at all times for any reason. That way if something random and obscure like this ever pops up again I WILL BE READY!

In other news they also posted another contest (Paper Heart Movie Poster Contest), where the prize is a Wacom Tablet and some cash. Some of you may know that I just competed in another contest for the same thing, well dammit I will play until I win! That's how video gamers do it right?! Only problem is the topic; "What does love mean to you?". You've got to be kidding right? I guess it's time for some soul searching. ... I've got an idea! I'll grab a couple of film students and we will drive around in this buss thing and I will interview a bunch of people on what love means to them and then I will make a documentary about it, and then maybe in the process find out what it means to me!!! Oh wait a minute... that was the movie plot. Oh well, you get the picture. I think my favorite line concerning love from a movie has got to be the one in transformers where they are arguing over who is going to say love you first and they both give the same reason (for those of you not in the loop, basically if the girl says it they guy breaks up the the girl and if the guy says it the girl breaks up with the guy). That is about as much sense as I've ever been able to make of the L word. *le sigh*
